Welcome to my world this is my story
Born in the morning of the 25th November 1973 in Asmara Eritrea. I love my country and weather for weather has a profound impact on me. I have come to love Canada just as much for it is my second home. I have also lived in Kenya for 8 years, which also had a profound impact on me. Mungu ni moja. Kila siku mimi amuka nasema asante. Kidogo wa kidogo nafanya kazi wa yote tefadali. Mimi ni muzuri rafiki wa rafiki nasema kwaheri to lakini asante sana. Muwalimu yangu ni Yesu kabisa alafu.
My family and I arrived in Canada on the 17th of August 1990. My parents believe in education and they have sacrificed much to educate us, as well as to value education. My highest marks were in sport and art. There was nothing I could not do in art class. The freedom I experienced in expression was everything, but my teachers said it was a starving profession so i thought of a smarter choice and took Fashion Arts at a collage. I did not continue in fashion for I felt I had exploded my vision and brain on the floor with the mess it created. The smarter choice for me then was to take Computer Graphics where I graduated from International Academy of Design in Toronto.
That begun a different chapter in my life where I opened shop at Rockwood Mall in 2000. It was a gift shop and design studio called Feva design studio. Here I meet Louis in 2004 as she was pleasant enough to include me at the alfew art gallery she had at Gate 403. It was a great experience and would have loved more exposure, but my life was getting hectic and by 2006 I closed the shop. My situation took a nasty turn in 2007 and was unable to work and became very ill.
In 2013 I was still ill and I stopped looking at the past and wanted to start a different chapter. I left Canada for I wanted answers for my condition and went to Eritrea. There staying six months seeing the country and establishing a new and older me. Then came back to Canada with a new medication that agreed with me. I have started to draw again and looking at Canada and art in a new light. I could find Eritrea in Canada if I wanted too and it blew my mind. Just as I could find Canada In Asmara.
